Our cellar and vineyard was in Etyek-Budai region in Bicske.

Milcsák Vineyard is unique even within the Bicske district. Though the entire area is covered in special calcareous sedimentary soil. Our home sits right on top of the hill at the site is wonderful.
Our soils here in Bicske are deep, but include a lot of gravel in the clay loam, and thus they can dry out quickly without drip irrigation. We are still learning the subtleties of farming this site, but have found Merlot and Blaufränkisch here especially well-adapted to the place.

Our vineyard is planted on a south-facing 1,5 acre around the winery.  The vines are Merlot and Blaufrankisch - Belr.*Rip 5C clone. The vineyard is narrowly spaced with 6,5 feet between rows and 3,5 feet between individual vines. The row direction is northeast/southwest.

Building caves into the deep grand. Caves provide an ideal wine-storing climate of 10 C° temperatures without the need for additional air conditioning. With a local building contractor and his crew, we began construction of the new familiar-winery and caves in 2001-2002.

Milcsák vinery wines are hand crafted in the vineyard using the strictest philosophies of old viticulture. Focusing on two wines, we select the finest fruit and then only bottle the best barrels. It is this concentration of focus that we believe is vital to producing the finest wines, and, with good fortune, enables us to enhance them from year to year.

Because we realize that winemaking begins in the vineyard, our viticultural approach is more like gardening than farming. We are committed to using sustainable techniques that produce the highest quality grapes and also contribute to a healthy planet.
